For sale is one of BMW’s most iconic classics — a 1988 BMW E24 635CSi, powered by the legendary 3.5-litre naturally aspirated M30 straight-six engine and rear-wheel drive.

This particular car has undergone an extensive nut-and-bolt restoration. The vehicle was completely disassembled, the entire body was restored and repainted, the mechanical components were rebuilt, and the interior was completely renewed.

Engine & Mechanical Restoration

The legendary M30 engine was completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt using new components. It features forged VAC Motorsports pistons with new piston rings and a 10.5:1 compression ratio, together with new timing components and other necessary engine parts.

A new stainless-steel exhaust system has also been installed, perfectly complementing the unmistakable sound of BMW’s naturally aspirated straight-six.

The car’s other mechanical components and systems were restored as part of the project, together with renewed electrical wiring.

Interior

The entire interior has been completely restored and retrimmed in premium Nappa leather.

The carpets and interior panels have been renewed, while the headliner has been finished in Alcantara. A beautiful wooden steering wheel completes the classic character of the cabin.

High-quality sound and vibration insulation has also been installed throughout the interior, making the car more refined without taking away its classic character.

Exterior & Wheels

The car sits on original BBS wheels with a staggered setup — wider at the rear and narrower at the front — perfectly complementing the proportions of the E24.

The E24 was the first generation of the BMW 6 Series, and the 635CSi became one of BMW’s most recognisable Grand Tourers of its era.

Its long bonnet, unmistakable shark-nose design, naturally aspirated straight-six engine and rear-wheel drive represent BMW engineering from a completely different era.

This particular example is a 1988 model from the final years of E24 production.

The car has also been officially certified as a historic vehicle in Latvia.

Only approximately 1,200 km have been driven since the complete restoration.

This is not simply an old BMW. It is a carefully rebuilt piece of BMW history, representing an enormous amount of work, time and attention to detail.
