The Special was the cheapest Buick you could buy, which by the standards of 1957 still meant a car dripping in brightwork, with a nailhead V8 and Buick's trademark "VentiPorts" punched into the front fenders. The 1957 range wore an all-new lower, wider body with a sweeping chrome spear down the flank and a broad, toothy grille. Buick's Dynaflow automatic is famously smooth and famously unhurried — these are cars for cruising, not for hurrying.

This car is the entry point of Buick's 1957 range, which still meant a nailhead V8, VentiPorts and a great deal of brightwork. Production numbers, specification and originality matter as much to that lineage as the headline power figure.

This example is finished in Blue over Blue, showing 6214 mi on the odometer (a displayed reading, not a guarantee of total distance).

Stock number PC1585, VIN/chassis 4D1008265. Condition, provenance, mileage and specification should be confirmed in person or with us directly before any decision.
