Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60 Special

Fleetwood was the body-builder Cadillac acquired in 1925, and for decades the name marked the most expensive and most carefully finished cars the division sold. A Fleetwood-bodied Cadillac of the early fifties has the Hydra-Matic automatic, the overhead-valve 331 cu in V8 that changed the industry when it arrived in 1949, and interior appointments — broadcloth, chrome-framed instruments, deep carpet — that were the benchmark for American luxury. The sixties cars grew crisper and squarer but lost none of the presence. These are cars designed to be driven slowly and admired at length.

This car is a Series 60 Special Fleetwood described as an unrestored original survivor rather than a restored example.
