Chrysler Sunbeam 1500 Super

Hello! For sale an unusual and rare Sunbeam 1500 Super from 1970. The car was manufactured by the British factory Rootes, which later belonged to Chrysler, which, using the badge engineering policy produced this body in the form of several brands depending on the market on which it was sold. For example, in Great Britain and Ireland it appeared as Hillman Avenger, in North America as Plymouth Cricket, South Africa as Dodge Avenger, in Brazil it was Dodge 1800 and Dodge Polara, but a car visible in the photos - Sunbeam 1500 Super, was manufactured exclusively for the French market. The vehicle was purchased new and immediately imported to Austria, where it was used by 3 related owners, the last of whom deregistered the vehicle in 1987. Documents show that the car was probably sold as an inheritance after the death of the last owner and in 2014 the car was registered for the first time in Poland. According to estimates, there are several hundred copies available on world markets. After a short history, some information about the car, Sunbeam 1500 Super, a 1500cc petrol engine coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox, in a 4-door sedan body. In March 2024, the entire body of the car was painted in the original Aztec Gold color, at the same time receiving new front and rear window seals with chrome wedges. The paint has already been protected with Fusso wax twice. Mechanically, the car doesn’t require any investment, a number of repairs have been made recently, including: regeneration and adjustment of the carburettor, regeneration of the fuel pump, regeneration of the brake pump with new brake lines, new water pump, coil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, replaced head gasket (oil was sweating) with a set of new engine gaskets, new oil in the gearbox, steering play removed with alignment adjustment.
