Pontiac Bonneville Convertible

Pontiac's Bonneville was named after the Utah salt flats and it wore that name well. The 1957 car was the division's first fuel-injected model, and the 1958–62 cars introduced the "Wide-Track" strategy — Pontiac literally pushed the wheels further out from the body than any rival, which improved stability and, just as importantly, gave the cars a planted, purposeful stance nobody else could match. Split grilles, stacked or hooded headlights and long, clean flanks make these among the best-looking full-size cars GM produced, and the 389 and 421 V8s under the hood are strong, torquey engines.Pontiac evolved from a companion brand into General Motors’ performance-minded division.
