Pontiac Acadian

The Acadian was a Canada-only marque created so Pontiac-Buick dealers had a compact to sell, and the Canso and Beaumont variants are effectively rebadged Chevy IIs and Chevelles with distinctive grilles and tail lamps. That makes them mechanically identical to the American cars underneath — same engines, same transmissions, same parts availability — but visually unique and far rarer. A well-kept Acadian is one of the most interesting things a Canadian collector can park in a garage full of Chevrolets.

This car comes from Pontiac's Canada-only Acadian marque, mechanically a Chevrolet underneath but visually distinct and built in far smaller numbers. Rarity, originality and condition matter as much to that lineage as the headline power figure.
