The Silver Spur is the long-wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit — four extra inches, all of it in the rear compartment, which is where the owner of one of these cars is presumably sitting. The styling is squarer and more formal than the Shadow it replaced, the 6.75-litre V8 carries on, and the equipment list includes everything Rolls-Royce could think of. Depreciation has been brutal to these cars over the years, which means an honest, well-maintained example is one of the most car for the money anywhere in the collector market.
