Smart Roadster Brabus

The Smart Roadster is one of the most charming failures of the 2000s: a mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive two-seater weighing under 800 kg, with a 700 cc three-cylinder turbo behind the seats and a driving position about a foot off the ground. Brabus versions got 101 hp, a sports exhaust, upgraded suspension and unique wheels. Because it is so light and so low, the sensation of speed is completely out of proportion to the actual numbers. Mercedes killed it after three years because each one lost money.

This car is the Brabus version of the Smart Roadster, a mid-engined two-seater built in very small numbers and never sold in North America.
